Orders and Shipping

Online Orders

It is the consumer’s responsibility to understand what they are buying when placing an online order. MyCornerBench has provided an online measuring tool, directions, resources and descriptions to help you during your order. Please read these instructions carefully. If you are unsure about what your order will look like or what it includes, please contact MyCornerBench at contact@mycornerbench.com for help placing your order.

Customer Measurements Responsibility: MyCornerBench is not responsible for incorrect measurements, layout errors, or modifications made by the customer after placing an order. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring all measurements are accurate before purchase.

Production & Shipping Lead Times

Due to the custom-made nature of our products, bench production takes 4 to 6 weeks from the time of order placement. Once finished, delivery takes 3 to 7 business days depending on location. For more specific information regarding our current shipping and lead times, please contact us directly.

Bench Finishes and Wood Texture

Most of our bench tops are made from Pine Wood. The bases are made from Birch plywood cabinet grade, with frames and moldings made of poplar wood, for resistance and durability. Most of our products have a smooth paint finish. With the choice of painted or stained seating tops, please refer to the stain color palette to choose the stain that is best for you.

Natural Variations Disclaimer: As wood is a natural material, variations in grain, texture, and color are inherent and not considered defects. Colors may appear different due to lighting and monitor settings. MyCornerBench does not guarantee exact color matches between digital images and physical finishes.

Handles

Drawer handles are sent assembled on the inside of the furniture to prevent damage. If you would like a specific handle, you may purchase and send it to 132 Business Center Dr. Suite 3, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, to be installed on your order. Handle and shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

Shipping Methods

All our shipments include FREE shipping and will be shipped via FedEx Ground or FedEx Freight depending on the size of your order and destination. We ship from Ormond Beach, Florida, only to the contiguous 48 states. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, or internationally.

Transfer of Liability: Once a product leaves our facility, ownership and responsibility transfer to the carrier (FedEx). MyCornerBench assists with claims but cannot be held liable for loss, delay, or damage during transit.

All products are inspected before leaving our workshop to ensure quality. Please inspect your delivery upon arrival following the instructions below.

Shipping Address

Please provide a valid physical shipping address. If you need to change your address after placing an order, contact us before shipping. Once the order has left our facility, rerouting may incur carrier fees and extended delivery times.

Holding Orders

Orders may be held up to 10 consecutive days after the scheduled ship date at no charge. After that, a $10 per day storage fee applies. Contact us if you need to postpone delivery or reroute your shipment (rerouting fees apply).

Cancelled Orders

Orders can be cancelled within one business day with no fee. Cancellations between 24 and 48 hours are subject to a 30% fee. All orders cancelled after 48 hours are non-refundable. Once production begins, materials and labor are allocated specifically to your order.

Changes to Orders

Order changes must be requested within 5 days of placing the order and approved in writing. Changes may incur additional costs. Production typically begins within 24–48 hours of order placement; changes beyond this point may cause waste and are not guaranteed.

Refunds and Warranty

Returns/Exchanges

Due to the custom-made nature of our products, we do not accept returns or refunds for any reason other than verified manufacturing errors.

• Manufacturing Errors: Exchanges are accepted only if a proven manufacturing error is verified by MyCornerBench. We are not responsible for damage caused by shipping, packaging, installation, or customer-provided measurements.

Damaged Orders

All shipments are insured. Please inspect your shipment upon delivery and follow the mandatory QR verification process to document condition. Damage must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

Ownership Transfer & Carrier Liability: Risk of loss transfers to FedEx upon shipment. MyCornerBench assists with claims but cannot be held liable for carrier-related damage once the product leaves our facility.

Mandatory QR Reception Process (Before Signing Delivery)

All shipments include a unique QR code that must be scanned immediately upon FedEx delivery before signing. The QR opens a form to document the pallet and product condition. Upload photos and confirm delivery status before the driver departs. This record ensures full FedEx insurance coverage.

Failure to complete this step may void your right to file a claim or request replacement.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

All products are for interior use only. Exterior exposure voids warranty. The limited lifetime warranty covers hardware and functional components (hinges, slides, handles). It excludes finishes, discoloration, and wear from misuse, moisture, or climate changes.

Improper Use Disclaimer: Warranty is void if the product is modified, installed incorrectly, relocated, or used in exterior environments. MyCornerBench is not responsible for damages caused by improper installation or misuse.

Third-Party Installation Disclaimer: MyCornerBench is not responsible for any damage, defect, or malfunction resulting from installation, modification, or assembly performed by third parties or individuals not authorized by MyCornerBench. Any such action voids the product warranty. Customers are advised to ensure proper installation according to the instructions provided on our website.

MyCornerBench’s warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective component, at our discretion. Under no circumstances will MyCornerBench be responsible for consequential or incidental damages, including labor, installation, or transportation costs.

Payments and Disputes

By placing an order, customers authorize MyCornerBench to begin production immediately and acknowledge that materials and labor will be allocated specifically for their order. Once shipped, tracking and QR delivery proof serve as evidence of completion.

Customers agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes after shipment. Any issues must be resolved directly with MyCornerBench before contacting a payment provider.

Privacy Policy

MyCornerBench values your privacy. We collect personal data only to process transactions and improve service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share limited information with essential third parties such as Google (for analytics) and Klaviyo (for communication).

SMS Consent & Privacy

Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

Product Photography and Marketing Rights

MyCornerBench reserves the right to photograph completed projects and use images for marketing and portfolio purposes unless the customer requests in writing to opt out prior to delivery.

Terms of Service

Use of Site and Agreement

By using this website or placing an order, you accept all terms and conditions stated herein. This forms a legally binding agreement between you and MyCornerBench.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with exclusive jurisdiction in Volusia County, Florida. The customer waives the right to a jury trial and agrees that any claims must be filed in Volusia County courts.

Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on this website, including content, images, and designs, belong to MyCornerBench or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

Limitation of Liability

MyCornerBench shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from product use, installation, or delays in shipment. Liability is limited to the repair or replacement of verified defective parts under warranty.

Severability

If any part of this agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms represent the entire agreement between the customer and MyCornerBench and supersede all prior discussions or communications.
